Our Story

In 2006, our sister company ComputerXplorers was launched, and since then we have grown to 22 UK family businesses, and six international businesses, teaching over 10,000 children per week. This year alone, we have grown 300% and we have ambitions to expand further across the UK, and into Europe and the United States.

Due to our success we have launched ActiveXplorers, a company designed to prepare children for an active future through sports.

The market is huge with over 23,000 primary schools and 30,000 pre-schools in the UK. The potential is there to achieve great rewards if you’re determined, passionate and ambitious enough, something CEO Stuart Harley accomplished when he took over leadership of ComputerXplorers and expanded it to include ActiveXplorers.

With a 15 year career in business and development and a young family to provide for, franchising appealed to Stuart. It gave him the flexibility to maintain a work-life balance, and enabled him to funnel his determination and creativity into a cause close to his heart: preparing children for an active future and giving them the opportunity to excel.

Stuart originally managed the Southampton branch of ComputerXplorers for two years, and under his guidance and leadership, it grew exponentially and became the biggest ComputerXplorers franchise in the network. In 2021 the opportunity arose for Stuart to purchase the brand from The Bardon Group, which he did with enthusiasm.

Stuart is like any parent and wants his children to have access to the best sports and technology education to prepare them for the future, and believes ALL children should have the privilege of this education, so it made sense to him to be the head of a company that provides this much needed skill set. It was a perfect match!
